With 300 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque, the base 2.3L EcoBoost® engine is pretty impressive. Standard on the Ford Explorer base model, the Ford Explorer XLT, the Ford Explorer ST-Line, the Ford Explorer Timberline, and the Ford Explorer Limited, this engine is capable of towing 3,000 lbs.
