In 1963, leading designers Donald Frey and Lee Iacocca began engineering the Ford Bronco inspired by veterans using the rugged Army Jeep on farms, ranches, and suburbs. By 1965, their dream became a reality, establishing 1966 models: the all-purpose Ford Bronco Roadster, the Sport Utility Ford Bronco half cab, and the Ford Bronco Wagon. Known for being both a G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Terrain) and a highway driver, these one-of-a-kind models stampeded the scene for over a decade. The second-generation Ford Bronco (1978-1979) emerged to a more robust body-style sharing components with Ford F-Series pickups. This model year also introduced more luxurious offerings for families in suburbias but was soon replaced by a third-generation (1980-1986) body style boasting better fuel economy and more comfort. Generation 4 enters the “Aerodynamic Age,” which lasted from 1987 to 1991 and included powertrain advancements and anti-lock braking technology. The fifth-generation rode out in style as designers dialed up the interior with premium sound and safety. Come on in and speak with our staff about how the groundbreaking 2021 Bronco measures up in originality and trusted 4X4 capability to its past life.
